Refund and Cancellation policy of United

They have a 24 hour cancellation full refund policy. That is if you cancel your ticket within 24 hours of booking it then you can get a full refund provided your booking was made before a week to the scheduled departure of the flight. If you cancel it later you might have to pay a cancellation fee.

All refunds are made in the original mode of payment. They may take up to 7 working days to make the refund payment. If your ticket is refundable then you can go to ‘My Trips’ and cancel your ticket and get a refund.

Sometimes weather and air traffic cause flights are delayed or are cancelled. Under such circumstances even non-refundable tickets are also eligible for a refund. You can even change your flight if the delay or cancellation of your flight occurs. You need to communicate it to the Airline if you would like to postpone your journey.

You may be re-accommodated in some other seating class depending upon last minute change of airliner or any other irregularities. If it is not upgraded to a higher class or same class then a refund will be made.
